Radio LaB is an OFCOM-licensed community radio station serving students and young people, with some content aimed at those over 55. It broadcasts on 97.1 FM and online via RadioPlayer. Operated by the University of Bedfordshire.
Run by a team of student managers and overseen by the university’s coordinator, Radio LaB aims to give students the opportunity to learn how to make great radio, improve their confidence, and enhance their CVs. Radio LaB also produces podcasts, helps students with audio-related projects, and assists the university with cross-promotion.
As a community station, Radio LaB reaches out to local colleges to help teach students about radio, works with local organizations to produce content that benefits local audiences, and collaborates with other university departments to cultivate unique projects.
