Radio LaB were announced as Runner-up in the ‘Community Project of the Year’ award at the Luton’s Best Awards 2015 on Friday 27th November 2015.
Station coordinator Terry Lee, who attended the awards ceremony with Radio LaB founder Dr Janey Gordon, said:
“This is a great endorsement for the work we are doing at Radio LaB, and we were honoured to have made the short-list. As the University’s community radio station, our aim is to give a voice to the various youth communities within the student-body, as well as Luton as a whole. We will continue to create programming and projects of this regard going forward.”
Beds SU’s ‘Green Hub’ came away from the evening as winners of the ‘Environmental Achievement’ award.
