It was a great night for Radio LaB at the Community Radio Awards 2020 on Saturday 12th Decemeber, as the station won two awards.
‘Primrose and Terry: in the shed’ won GOLD in the ‘Podcast of the Year’ Category. The podcast series began at the start of the first lockdown in 2020 in response to seven-year-old Primrose asking for ‘radio’ as part of her home-learning activities.
Broadcast Journalism graduate, Laura Conder, won SILVER for her documentary ‘Meet The Smugglers’ in the ‘Speech & Journalism of the Year’ category.
